Spun kevlar aramid fiber packing with PTFE treatment an interlock braided spun kevlar aramid fiber carded yarns, treated individually with PTFE suspensoid. This type of compression braided gland aramid packing is also lubricated with silicone oil based compound for quick and easy break-in. The use of spun kevlar aramid fiber yarns produces a softer and very tough packing, but one that is less abrasive than packings braided with aramid filament fiber yarns.Spun kevlar aramid fiber packing with PTFE treatment impregnated is a durable packing able to withstand granular and abrasive applications. And spun kevlar aramid fiber packing with PTFE treatment impregnated is recommended for service in superheated steam, slurries, petroleum derivatives, solvents, chemicals, liquified gases, pulp and paper stocks, sugar syrups, and other abrasive fluids.

The PTFE suspensoid thoroughly seals and fills all voids providing better resistance to chemical attack. A light lubricant is applied under pressure to improve run-in properties. And it has excellent dimensional stability and is therefore resistant to extrusion even in high stress conditions faced in plunger pumps.
