Aramid Fiber Packing Impregnated with PTFE Lubricant - Style 3003
Aramid fiber packing impregnated with PTFE lubricant is braided from premium quality, high strength kevlar aramid fiber, as well as every strand yarn is impregnated with a Teflon PTFE suspensoid for quick break in and straightforward run in. This specific high tensile strength aramid fiber yarn develops a resilient long lasting packing capable of withstanding severe abrasives and pressure fluids.
Applications
While mainly created as a rotary water pump packing, Aramid fiber packing impregnated with PTFE lubrican is also intended for valves and piston pumps, mixers and reactors in the following industries: pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, food, sugar, chemical and petro-chemical, power stations, steel mills and many more. Also ideal as anti-extrusion rings in combination with softer packing.
Application media
The chemical resistance of Aramid together with the PTFE impregnation allows this packing to be used in connection with most chemicals (except very corrosive ones), water, steam, oils, solvents, etc., while its extreme abrasion resistance makes it ideal for use with abrasive sand, slurry and other gritty media.
Advantages
Aramid fiber packing impregnated with PTFE lubricant has excellent abrasion resistance, long service life with minimal shaft wear, it is resilient and responsive in operation and extremely durable and abrasion resistant packing suitable for a wide variety of media in many different industries. Suitable for a very wide range of media
