Monel 400 V-shape winding strip tape for spiral wound gasket is used for gasket production and also the stainlesss steel metal is V shape construction. Spiral wound gasket is constructed of V-shaped or W-shaped metallic strip tape joined with smooth non-metallic filler just like Graphite, PTFE, Mica by spiral winding, as well as related the end by spot welding. What are the Characteristics of Monel Alloy 400?
Monel Alloy 400 is resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures and excellent resistance to rapidly flowing brackish water or seawater. It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in most freshwaters and is particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated. It offers some resistance to hydrochloric and sulfuric acids at modest temperatures and concentrations, but is seldom the material of choice for these acids.
