Graphite encapsulated PTFE filament packing manufactured from PTFE filament yarn, which have been specially treated to incorporate a high quality graphite based lubricant allowing use in dynamic applications operating at high peripheral speeds with extremely low leakage rates. As this style Graphited PTFE braided gland packing combines the chemical resistance of PTFE with the heat dissipation characteristics of graphite, thus allowing much higher shaft speeds than conventional PTFE packings.The materials for graphite encapsulated PTFE filament packing has been selected to provide users with gland sealing products that meet today's demanding services, offering effective and trouble-free sealing during application. Application of Graphite Encapsulated PTFE Filament Packing
Graphite encapsulated PTFE filament packing is chemically inert over the entire 0-14 pH range with these exceptions: molten alkali metals, flourides, aleum, fuming nitric acid, aqua regia, and other strong oxidizing agents. And graphite encapsulated PTFE filament packing is an excellent general service and corrosive service packing. It is commonly used in pumps, valves, rotating and reciprocating shafts, mixers and agitators, and is especially designed for services involving surface speeds and temperatures higher than those that can be handled by pure PTFE packing.Advantages
