10% ekonol polyester resin filled PTFE rod is made of 90% PTFE filled with 10% ekonol polyester resin, Ekonol® aromatic polyester fillers are a key component in extending the life of parts and components made from PTFE compounds. The exceptional properties of ekonol filled PTFE compound provides maximum wear resistance, dimensional stability and corrosion resistance for molded or extruded parts in demanding services.The highly crystalline Ekonol polymer yields unparalleled thermal stability along with good creep resistance and excellent load-bearing capacity. These features make 10% ekonol polyester resin filled PTFE rod the ideal material for bearings, seals, rotors and related parts.
Whereas glass fillers can be abrasive, Ekonol filler ptfe teflon rod material will not wear soft metal surfaces. Additionally, Ekonol and PTFE blends resist self-wear better than other PTFE compositions, with good lubricity on molded parts.
